Top Children’s Party Themes 2017
After the success of Frozen in 2013 the children’s party industry has exploded! With new companies, themes and ideas being launched all the time it’s hard to know where to turn with planning your child’s party and also avoid the same themes multiple times!
To help you on this treacherous journey of changing minds, themes, ideas and trends I have put together my Five Top Children’s Party themes for 2017.
Little Mix Parties:
Who would have known a manufactured girl group from the Xfactor would see such continued success? With no signs of them lessening in popularity anytime soon Little mix parties are becoming more and more popular with the girls (specifically 5 to 9). “Shout our to my ex” being one of the most requested party songs this year! Honestly that is the only reason I know all of the words…honestly…
Arty and Crafty Parties!
We love arts and crafts – I certainly do! Now however they are being upscaled even more to full blow Arty parties! I have recently come across “Lou’s awesome Arty parties” a company in North Wales and Chester and I think they look like so much fun (I have become a bit obsessed with following their page!) – maybe they should branch out so that grown ups can do it too!

Trolls themed party
Potentially the happiest film of all time – we really “can’t stop the feeling” or it’s popularity! Trolls, similarly to Frozen, have experienced the bulk of its popularity after the DVD release and this maybe one of my new favourite themes – even it does mean I have a slight pink tinge to me for the hours after a party! Definitely a theme that I can only see getting bigger over the next six months!
Build your own bear Parties!
So for many years build a bear workshops have been loved for birthday parties but keeping track of more the three children in a shopping centre and hoping there are no issues along the way can make these parties stressful! Now however you can bring all of the fun to your home in stead! Build a bear home style parties involve the children stuffing their own bear, putting in their big bear heart and designing their own bear certificate. Combine this with a picnic and cupcake decorating afterwards and you have a winning party formula!
Finally – MOANA!!
You thought I was going to forget the newest of the Disney princess offerings but no I do predict a huge rise in Moana’s popularity over the summer months and if you need anymore convincing here is one of our favourite songs from the film….
